Winner of Channel 4’s Grand Designs ‘Garden Designer of the Year’

Posted on 8th January 2013

We are delighted to announce that Lee has won the prestigious, and first ever title ‘Grand Designs Garden Designer of the Year’ award.

Lee’s garden design called ‘Cloud Nine’ was an impressive, contemporary and low maintenance rooftop garden for relaxing after work. It incorporated modern gadgets which complimented those in the adjoining penthouse. The garden was designed for a single, young professional and is seen as a place to relax and unwind after work whilst taking in views over the city skyline.

The garden featured a hot tub, sheltered by the partially open Cedar wood structure. The stripes of green planting on each wall help to soften the harsh lines of the industrial black cladding and the green roof to the Cedar structure provides a compact habitat for wildlife. The lighting, music, and even the shower were all controlled via his I Pad/phone … forget 50 shades of grey, this was 270 shades of LED colour!
